David Brown Automotive, a company famous for restoring and modifying Mini car classics under its own Mini Remastered brand, has unveiled a particularly interesting three-door hatchback co-designed with Marshall Amplification, a major producer of music equipment.
The Mini Remastered Marshall Edition celebrates the 60th birthday of the iconic music hardware brand and comes finished in Marshall colors: black with golden wheels and brake calipers. There is also a custom graphic on the body along with some special edition badges. The radiator grille follows the same color scheme and looks like the mesh you would find on Marshall speakers and combo amps.
Inside, there are black leather seats adorned with Marshall logos and contrast stitching, as well as a funny-looking pedal set with a Play icon on the accelerator, Pause on the brake, and Skip Track on the clutch. The dash panel boasts some vivid accents, and it goes without saying that the audio system on board has been comprehensively upgraded. There is even an added Bluetooth speaker and a high-end headphone set.
A peek inside the trunk reveals an extendable Marshall DSL1 Combo amp rack with a battery to power an electric guitar. Using a setup like this, you could turn your hatchback into a part of a mobile music stage.
Power for the restomod comes from a 1.3-liter petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A year ago, DBA revealed another restomod based on the same engine, named the Oselli Edition. That one had 127 PS (125 hp / 93 kW) and 153 Nm (113 lb-ft) of torque.
