Car marque MINI has announced the upcoming release of a limited series of Cooper S cars dedicated to the 60 years of the brand’s presence on the market. The entire batch won’t exceed 500 cars.
The limited-edition hatchback gets a green paintjob with black roof, side mirror caps and pinstripes. It rides on an exclusive set of 17-inch wheels and sports “60 Years” inscriptions on the side skirts and front fenders as well as next to the blinkers. The same inscription gets projected onto the road surface whenever someone opens the door of the car.
The interior space makes use of a brown leather trim with green stitching.
The series will ship with the same old 2.0-liter, 197-hp (147-kW) engine linked to a seven-speed DCT box. It will sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.7 seconds.
The limited-issue MINI Cooper S will hit the market in the spring of 2019 priced at £29,990 and above.
