Andreas Lampka, Head of Communications at Mini, said that the marque’s JCW vehicle range would inevitably switch to pure electric power in the near future.
He emphasized that all MINI models, including the fourth generation of the exclusive JCW GP, will make the switch.
The British automaker will have to work hard on making its range attractive in its new nature-friendly form, though. Among other things, this involves giving each car a distinct acoustic personality that drivers would like. Lampka believes these issues will be addressed by the time the next generation comes out.
In the meantime, the Cooper SE depicted here remains the only EV MINI has on the lineup to date.
