Piloting a Mini Cooper S 56 years ago, professional rally driver Paddy Hopkirk steered it to its first victory at the Monte Carlo Rally. Today, the automaker decided to commemorate the fact by releasing Paddy Hopkirk Editions of its Cooper S and John Cooper Works models.
The limited series wears the number 37 on both sides, as well as special badges, a livery with the roof finished in white, and numerous black accents: mirrors, grille, wheels, fuel cap and headlight bezels.
The cars still come powered by their stock engines rated between 192 and 231 hp (143 – 172 kW). The new edition will be available in a number of countries in small quantities: for one, Great Britain only gets 100 such cars.
