Mitsubishi has unveiled the MI-TECH Concept at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, which started earlier today. Despite the looks, the car is closer to being a buggy than just an open-top crossover SUV.
Remember a series of teaser images showing mysterious fans located behind the seats of the car? Despite causing quite a surge of interest, Mitsubishi failed to explain their purpose during the reveal.
Other noteworthy features of the concept vehicle include its exaggerated body proportions, chunky alloy wheels wrapped in low-profile tires, and original T-shaped headlights and taillights.
The prototype buggy comes powered by a sophisticated, downsized hybrid powertrain that incorporates four electric motors and a versatile micro-turbine engine that accepts diesel fuel, spirits, and kerosene.
