Mitsubishi Express shows the worst crash test performance possible

Australia-based crash test provider ANCAP has conducted a series of extensive tests of the latest Mitsubishi Express minivan, also known in some countries as the Renault Trafic. The verdict was zero stars out of five and a recommendation to stay away from the model if at all possible.

A simulated lateral collision left the Express deformed so strongly that the impact slung the driver’s test dummy halfway across the cabin. The front passenger was somehow even worse off, ending with a handful of lethal injuries.

To top it all off, the MPV lacks any active safety measures on board, so aside from being a huge risk for its driver and passengers, it is just as dangerous to the traffic participants around it.

ANCAP is positive that the 0/5 rating is well-deserved in this particular case.
