Mitsubishi revives the Colt

Mitsubishi has released a teaser pic of a hybrid car coming to the market under the name Colt, which the company sent to retirement nine years ago. The vehicle will be similar to existing Nissan and Renault models.

You can browse through the rest of the gallery and watch the video here to get an idea of what the old Colt looked like. The new one will be based on the CMF-B platform of the Nissan Micra and Renault Clio, among others.

A badge saying ‘Hybrid EV’ can be seen near the driver’s door. Motor1 believes the car will share the powertrain with the Clio E-Tech Hybrid, implying a 1.6-liter engine and an electric motor combining efforts for 140 PS (138 hp / 103 kW) in the top spec.

Renault will handle the production for Europe next fall.
