There is a carpenter in Vietnam who builds amazing car replicas from wood, some earlier examples including a functional Lamborghini Sian and a Ferrari 250 GTO (he even took the former out for a ride down his town’s streets). His latest work takes a turn towards the military.
The author of the project admits that he played the game World of Tanks with his son, mostly manning the EBR105 tank in it. The two thought it would be nice to have it built in hardware, or in this case, hardwood. An elderly Mitsubishi Delica provided the chassis for the project, ending up with two extra axles like its army prototype. The front and rearmost axles wear lightweight air tires, while the two in the middle rely on heavy metal rollers for extra off-road performance. They can be lifted from the road to improve acceleration on highways.
The result is a nearly complete imitation of the WoT EBR105, including even the gun turret. As always, the talented woodcarver took a ride in his newest vehicle as soon as it was finished. Watch the full video, it surely is impressive!
