Mitsubishi shrinks the Delica to celebrate 55 years of production

The legendary Mitsubishi Delica will be celebrating its 55th birthday soon, and the carmaker has decided to mark the occasion by launching a new, smaller version of it called Mini.

The Delica Mini is a compact Kei car with an all-wheel drive, a variable transmission, an off-road body kit and aggressive exterior. However, digging deeper reveals it is not a standalone model, but rather just a Mitsubishi eK X Space with some styling changes on it. The body remains the same, but the front end, the LEDs and the black body kit are new. The ground clearance is also slightly larger than the original.

It remains to be seen whether there are any modifications in the cabin. As is standard for all Kei cars, the power is provided by a 0.66-liter engine. In this particular special edition, the engine is turbocharged and assisted by an electric starter for 64 metric horsepower (48 kilowatts) going to all four wheels in total.
