Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross gains two special editions

Mitsubishi has released quite a few special versions of its Eclipse Cross SUV aimed at national markets, including a different interior for South America. Today, Brazil gets two such versions.

The Eclipse Cross Outdoor tries hard to pass for a serious off-road vehicle with its black body kit, towing eyes, black trim elements and interior spruced up with colorful stitching.

The Eclipse Cross Sport, on the contrary, ventures into wannabe sports car area with its body-matching aerodynamic moldings, a lower spoiler lip at the front and a couple meshed air intakes in the hood. There are fake carbon accents aside from black ones, and the brake calipers are red.

Both ship in the highest trim level available and use the same 1.5-liter turbo-four rated at 165 hp (123 kW), linked to a CVT and part-time AWD (coupling at the rear axle).

Sales in Brazil have already started. The Outdoor spec will be unlimited, while the Sport will emerge in a batch of 200 units.
