Mitsubishi Motors has refreshed the Eclipse Cross on its domestic market, adding a new version called Black Edition.
The Black Edition introduces a new wheel design alongside with black accents outside and black/silver details in the cabin. The oily bits stay the same.
The trim lineup for Japan has also been revised. Customers can now opt for such new features as hands-free opening of the tailgate, rear bench heating and USB charging ports for the second seat row. The My Pilot software suite previously reserved for the hybrid version is now available for the gas-powered car as well.
The powertrains stay unchanged: there is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a hybrid system incorporating a 2.4-liter gas engine, dual electric motors and a 13.8-kWh traction battery.
You can already buy the trims called M and G Limited Edition in dealerships in Japan, with the others set to arrive after February 16, 2023. Prices range from 2,542,100 to 4,650,800 Yen, which roughly translates into U.S. $18,000 – $33,000.
