Several weeks ago, a prototype of the new Mitsubishi L200 (also known as the Triton/Strada) was spotted in Europe. This weekend, two test trucks appeared on the roads again – this time around in North America.
The video posted on YouTube by the user TFLnow evidences that both pickups were heavily cladded, but a closer look still confirms that both were L200 models. This would make good sense, too, given how outdated the model is.
Note that both cars are RHD despite wearing Michigan number plates. You can also discern thin and tall wheels, flared fenders, and roof rails. You can even catch a glimpse of headlights and a mesh grille. One of the trucks was busy testing its towing capacities.
The next generation of the L200 is being co-developed with Nissan, meaning it will share the platform with the new Navara.
