The YouTube team of Hagerty has filmed an episode of its Capturing Car Culture series in which it sends famous car photographer Larry Chen to Singapore for a rendezvous with some of that country’s most impressive vehicle collections.
In the video, Chen points out that Singapore isn’t too collector-friendly, because owning even just one car is quite expensive there. Still, he managed to contact and meet with a few fellow enthusiasts who had amassed impressive exhibitions of cars.
Take Darren Ong’s collection, for example. It has all imaginable kinds of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution models on display – both modern and classic, track-focused and street-worthy, common and exotic. Ong himself is daily-driving an Evo wagon, so that’s saying something.
Another collector, Steven, specializes in procuring premium vehicles and regularly exhibiting them at shows. He has multiple Ferraris in his garage, a Koenigsegg Agera, a Nissan GT-R50 coachbuilt by ItalDesign (the only one of its kind in the entire Southeastern Asia), and a Pagani Huayra.
The third collector featured in the video wished to stay anonymous, but you can still check out their remarkable exhibit.
