Mitsubishi’s Ralliart badge comes back to America with five not-so-special specials

The Mitsubishi Ralliart nameplate will adorn several special editions of cars headed to North America soon, but extra performance is not on the list.

For those who need to refresh their memory, the Japanese automaker dissolved its Ralliart sports car division in 2010 following the global economic crisis. It then brought back the badge for South Eastern Asia and Japan markets, initially intending to limit its sales geography to these regions. Now, however, the company has added the USA to the list.

The new Ralliart cars will include Outlander, Outlander PHEV, Eclipse Cross, Outlander Sport, and Mirage. According to manufacturer, all five will be adorned with rally-inspired body kits and styling cues. In addition to this, all cars will be finished in the same shade called White Diamond with black roof for contrast.

And that seems to be all, unfortunately. For the record, Mitsubishi’s exports to the United States dropped to 48,272 units in the first half of 2022 compared to 53,377 units over the same period last year. The Outlander SUV accounted for most of the sales.
