The Tokyo Auto Salon coming up on January 10-12, 2020, will be mainly dedicated to car tuning of all sorts. The Mitsubishi lineup of seven promises to be quite interesting.
The company has shared some curious details about its Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Apparently, the show car will be handed over to NERV, an international organization created by UNO to defend the Earth against the invasion of deadly gigantic monsters called the Angels.
No, not drunk. The car is simply a reference to the legendary anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Earlier this year, Gehirn launched an iOS application in Japan titled ‘NERV Disaster Prevention App’, which claims to provide early warnings about earthquakes and tsunami. The Outlander NERV is a collaboration with Gehirn, and it comes equipped with quite a few emergency features, such as a Kymeta u7 satellite dish capable of maintaining a steady link with multiple points during natural calamities. Two such cars have already been built, and plans exist for more.
We will learn more at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon in a few weeks, where the Mitsubishi booth will have seven vehicles on display.
