Mitsubishi has released the first teaser image of its new Outlander SUV and confirmed the launch month of February 2021.
The pic barely allows a glimpse upon the X-shaped front fascia trim, slim headlights, new door handles, roof rails, and partly also the taillights.
Seiji Watanabe, Mitsubishi Head of Design, claims that the SUV will inherit many of its design traits from the Engelberg Tourer Concept (see video).
While not explicitly stated, it looks like the newcomer utilizes the CMF-ะก/D tech platform of the latest Nissan X-Trail. As such, it may come powered by a gasoline engine rated at 184 PS (181 hp / 135 kW) and 245 Nm (181 lb-ft) of torque. Customers in Europe will also get a few hybrid versions to choose from.
