Mitsubishi revives the Ralliart brand in Japan

As of March 17, 2022, Mitsubishi Ralliart is officially a thing again. The automaker will be using the famous brand to sell tuning kits and options for its Delica D:5, Eclipse Cross, Outlander and RVR models in Japan only.

Ralliart was the name of the company’s motorsports subdivision in 1984-2010. It had dealt exclusively with racecars at first, but was commercialized in the 1990s and 2000s, selling tuning parts to private customers and designing special editions of production cars. In 2010, the subdivision was axed due to financial difficulties.

It is now coming back, but only on the domestic market – at least, for the time being. A variety of parts are already available to order separately or in kits: mud flaps, decals, spoilers and interior trim details. Performance, suspension and handling upgrades are non-existent.

The full Ralliart treatment for the Delica D:5 costs ¥132,880. The Eclipse Cross kit will set you back ¥176,946, the Outlander package ¥177,870, and the RVR (ASX) upgrade pack will lighten your account by ¥101,706.
