Mitsubishi to debut the next Outlander PHEV in Geneva

The Japanese automotive giant Mitsubishi will bring the next-generation model of its Outlander PHEV crossover vehicle to the International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland starting on March 8th, 2018. The car has something new to show in pretty much every aspect, so let’s get a closer look.

The drivetrain of the refreshed SUV now includes a larger 2.4-liter engine in place of the old 2.0-liter one. Its dynamic performance data isn’t being revealed so far, but the manufacturer claims that its torque went up considerably and the fuel consumption was reduced compared to the predecessor model. It is also being reported that the new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV gets a more powerful electric engine and a larger battery.

Speaking of features, there are several drive modes for the driver to switch between depending on road and weather conditions.

The exterior of the car has also been overhauled quite a bit. Among other things, there are new LED headlights, a redesigned radiator grille, and a set of model-specific 18-inch wheels – and it would be fair to say that all of the above lends the updated Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV an appearance that is stylish and modern.
