According to the Japanese website BestCarWeb, the fifth generation of the Mitsubishi Pajero may come to the market in 2027 as a premium-priced crossover SUV sporting a unibody design.
While not official yet, sources are reporting that Mitsubishi plans to reuse the platform it used for the upcoming next-gen Outlander PHEV to design the new Pajero. The idea is to elevate the formerly affordable vehicle to the status of a Range Rover rival. It will allegedly be made outside of Japan and cost substantially more than the old generation.
All other details are pending. Mitsubishi hasn’t commented on the alleged leak yet.
