The Krugger FD is a retrofuturistic speedster with Bentley engine

Belgian niche carmaker Krugger has unveiled its latest creation: the Krugger FD. The open-top one-seater is based on the ‘streamline’ design philosophy that used to be popular in the 1930s.

The one-off ride was commissioned by two major businesspeople – François Fornieri and André Dupont – and took three years to complete. The request, according to the company, was to produce something one hundred percent unique, purely Belgian in nature and true to the Krugger style. The letters FD stand for the clients’ initials.

Interestingly, the carmaker claims it has created the entire vehicle without any kind of CNC machining or software modelling involved.

Powering the build is a six-liter, twelve-cylinder Bentley Continental GT engine. Initially rated at 635 hp (474 kW), it has been boosted to deliver 750 hp (559 kW) – a monstrous amount of power for a roadster weighing in at mere 1,250 kilograms (2,755 lbs).

Krugger owner Fred Bertran intends to bring the car to numerous shows.
