Porsche 911 (993) doesn’t get much more vintage that this

German tuner Kaege GmbH just finished restoring an elderly Porsche 911 (993), and it would be criminal negligence not to tell you more about it.

The project, entitled KAEGE RETRO Classic – Silver Love No.06, involved upgrading pretty much everything there was to upgrade. But let us begin with the exterior.

The sporty coupe received a new elegant paintjob (Classic GT-Silver Metallic LM7Z), fender flares adding 40mm (1.6 inches) of width total, and gorgeous Kerscher three-piece forged rims wrapped in Pirelli P Zero rubber. Note the propeller-shaped spokes, the so-called Fuchs wheel design that used to be extremely popular half a century ago, but fell into obscurity later on.

The rest of the details reinforce the ‘vintage’ impression. This specifically includes the round headlights with LEDs inside, the side mirrors, the doors, the air intakes, and the hood cover.

Powering the restomod is a standard 3.6-liter turbo-six engine churning out 300 hp (224 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. Due to the increased performance, the Kaege team had to redo the exhaust system, add a carbon air intake tract, and install an electronic control module for governing and troubleshooting the engine. A good old six-speed manual transmission is still used to deliver the power to the wheels.

Wrapping up the list of changes is a premium interior makeover that involves generous amounts of cobalt-blue Nappa leather. The noble material covers the Recaro CS bucket seats, the center console, the doors and even the trunk area at the front end. Modern features include satellite navigation and high-end audio.

The car is currently on sale at elferspot.com, but the pricing is only disclosed to those interested in making a purchase.
