Watch the Hispano Suiza Carmen hypercar in action

Multiple hypercars have run a demo lap before the start of this year’s 24-hour endurance race on the famed Circuit de la Sarthe, a.k.a. Le Mans. Heading what looked like $10+ million worth of vehicles was the all-electric Carmen by Hispano Suiza.

The Carmen first appeared before the wide audience at the Geneva International Motor Show last year. Clad in carbon fiber, it had dual electric engines, rear-wheel drive and an 80-kWh traction battery. It pumped out around 1,019 PS (1,000 hp, or 745 kW) and could cover 400 kilometers (248 miles) on a charge, according to the manufacturer. It also needed less than three seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph).

The Spanish marque plans to produce 19 units of the revived classical coupe priced starting from €1,500,000.
