Posaidon cranks Mercedes-AMG A35 up to A45 levels of power

Posaidon did a wonderful job last year tuning the Mercedes-AMG A45 S to a neck-snapping 525 PS (518 hp / 386 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, and now, the German tuner helps the junior A35 model to keep up.

The more affordable out of two packages boils down to software tweaks and raises the power from 306 PS (302 hp / 225 kW) to 355 PS (350 hp / 261 kW). The torque simultaneously rises from 400 to 500 Nm (295 to 369 lb-ft). As a result, the sedan needs 4.3 seconds to sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) instead of 4.7 and maxes out at 280 km/h (174 mph), which is 30 km/h (18 mph) higher than stock.

The range-topping RS 400 package ups the ante with an enhanced turbo, culminating in 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. Tuned like this, the four-door A35 rides on par with its upmarket alternative, sprinting in four seconds and maxing out at 295 km/h (183 mph).

The upgrades are compatible with other models using the same engine model, including ‘35’ models across CLA, GLA, and GLB classes.
