Seat Leon expands engine palette in Great Britain

Leon, the single best-selling Seat out there, is now up for grabs with new petrol and diesel engines in the UK.

A 2.0 TSI spec pushes 190 PS (187 hp / 140 kW) to the wheels through a seven-speed DSG transmission. The standard sprint is a matter of 7.4 seconds, and the top speed is 232 km/h (144 miles per hour). Prices start from £28,810 for this new spec, and you get 17-inch alloys, sports suspension, tinted rear windows, smartphone support and drive modes for your money.

Another option is a 2.0 TDI rated at 115 PS (113 hp / 85 kW). The sprint time amounts to 10.5 seconds and the top speed to 200 km/h (124 mph) in this version. You can obtain it in SE and SE Dynamic trims priced from £24,515 and £25,615, accordingly. The SE includes 16-inch alloys, LED lights, and an 8.25-inch infotainment screen. SE Dynamic features 17-inch wheels, tinted windows, a digital dash screen, and a 10-inch multimedia display.
