Great Wall’s Ram-like truck spotted out in the open

It will not be long until the Great Wall Pao yields its title of marque’s flagship pickup truck to another. Two candidates will debut at the Auto Shanghai show, one of which we have already covered and the other one spied testing today.

The car has an internal model number “G9” and sports a Ram-style front fascia. The rest of the body is wrapped in impervious camouflage. It is believed that it has similar or the same tech as the Pao (see video).

The other Great Wall truck will use Wey Tank underpinnings and come with a 3.0-liter turbo, 9-speed A/T, AWD, per-wheel suspension, optional air-ride kit, and electronic shocks. Production should begin next year.
