Ford launches 3 new Explorer versions

Ford just can’t get enough of Explorer special editions. After debuting the King Ranch at the beginning of the year (see video), it has announced Timberline and three other variants available to order right now.

The first one is called Explorer Enthusiast ST. At $49,995, it is the most affordable of the three and comes with a 3.0-liter turbo-six rated at 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW). A ten-speed automatic transmission sends the momentum to all four wheels.

Another option is dubbed Platinum RWD and brings along some luxury equipment along with genuine leather on the seats, door panels, steering wheel and dashboard.

The final variant is a hybrid spec that combines a 3.3-liter V6 with an electric motor for 318 PS (314 hp / 234 kW) and 437 Nm (322 lb-ft) total.
