Mercedes-Benz sheds light on the new Maybach S-Class

Following up on the first teaser of the Maybach S-Class from last month, Daimler AG has now shared some high quality photos of the car exterior and cabin. Let’s see what’s new and exciting.

Like the V8-powered Maybach, its V12-packing counterpart rocks a dual-tone finish that sets it apart from the regular S-Class. The multi-spoke wheel set is something we have seen before, and the ‘S 680’ plaque at the rear end is what the new flagship version is called.

It remains to be seen how powerful the new generation is, but rumors claim that the 6.0-liter V12 now drives all four wheels with at least 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque.

As for the regular Mercedes-Benz S-Class, it will no longer be available with a V12 at all from now on.
