Richard Mille launches McLaren Speedtail-themed wristwatch

Luxury cars aren’t the only object for car lovers to spend six-digit amounts on: you can just as well go for a Richard Mille wristwatch, some of which cost up to $500,000 and some even more than more than that. The latest exclusive edition is dedicated to the McLaren Speedtail.

Like the hypercar it celebrates, the RM 40-01 Speedtail watch will emerge in a series of 106 units. Prices remain to be announced. Note the watch body that mimics the outlines of the car, and the winding knob that looks like an air intake.

Richard Mille uses carbon fiber, titanium and crystal glass for the production, the latter milled for a year and a half to attain the desired shape and condition.

Elsewhere, the luxury watch rocks an asymmetrical Biwi SA strap with an orange insert and a winding indicator with green, orange and red marks on it.
