Affordable Bugatti EV starts shipping

First buyers received their 3:4 replicas of the historical Bugatti Type 35 this week. The Little Car Company sells the road-legal imitation to children and those adults who think they will fit inside.

The first Baby II roadster went to an entrepreneur from the UAE, rocking an all-carbon body, an orange paint scheme, and powerful LED lighting all around. The only seat comes wrapped in fine leather, and Bugatti says VIP passengers of the Al Maktoum International Airport will have access to this means of personal transportation.

A car collector from Belgium grabbed another fully road-worthy EV with the rear-wheel drive system. The man already has a few pre-WWII Bugatti models sitting around in his collection, including an original Baby and a Type 35 A. His replica isn’t made of carbon, though, but instead uses a hand-molded aluminum body.
