Honda sets five-door Civic hatchback premiere to June 23

Honda has posted a few teasers of its updated Civic hatchback and announced an online reveal event during the annual Honda Civic Tour show on June 23. Canadian band OVO and the Majid Jordan duo are invited to the concert.

The images only begin to reveal the general outlines of the car, but it is still obvious that it is closely based on the sedan (watch the video for that one). According to Honda, the new Civic will offer manual transmission and improved handling. The Indiana factory will produce it for North America.

As for the sedan, it debuted in April 2021, but will be shipping simultaneously with the hatchback – in late 2021, the carmaker says. The base trim will sport 16-inch wheels and 7-inch infotainment/multimedia screens, while the top trim will feature a 10.2-inch driver’s display and a 9-inch infotainment screen.
