Pininfarina unveils the customization opportunities for the Battista
Once a coachbuilder and now a budding carmaker, Pininfarina plans on producing 150 Battista hypercars, offering them in countless combinations.
The company claims that its impending vehicle, which it calls a ‘hyper-GT’, will be available in nearly 14 quintillions (that’s millions of trillions!) exterior/cabin trim combinations. We will understand if you find that difficult to visualize. The interior alone will come in around 128,000,000 possible combinations, so the buyers might just end up having the hardest time of their life picking what they like most.
Each customer will be assigned a designer to work with on the fit-and-finish, which will completely rule out the possibility of any two cars looking the same or even similar. The New York-inspired rendering shown here is but one version in a sea of opportunities. It sports a blue carbon body adorned with white and red accents, while the interior is black with white, red and blue inserts.
Powering the ride is an electric powertrain rated at 1,900 PS (1,874 hp / 1,397 kW) and 2,300 Nm (1,696 lb-ft) of torque. Once charged, it can go on for 500 kilometers (310 miles) and accelerate to a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). The standard launch time is said to be under two seconds.
