Volkswagen announces three main versions of the ID. Buzz

According to Volkswagen, its first mass-market electric MPV will emerge in three different variants targeting different countries and audiences. Let’s see what these are.

The Europe version of the Volkswagen ID. Buzz will largely be dedicated to ride sharing services and will feature six individual passenger seats, as well as multiple displays. It will go on sale before the end of 2022.

The second version will arrive in North America in 2024 as a more traditional family-oriented MPV with two seat rows at the rear facing each other.

Finally, there will be a light commercial vehicle named Cargo, which will benefit from an MEB chassis with a longer-than-usual rear overhang. Three people will fit into the cabin, while the rest of the space will be dedicated to cargo. VW claims the top specification of the Cargo will come with an SAE Level 4 self-driving system on board.
