Winnebago Ekko spawns a new version named Pop Top
Nearly 10 months after revealing its Ekko campervan, Winnebago has introduced a new variant of it dubbed the Pop Top.
As the official photos illustrate, the roof can now be raised to create an additional sleeping place for two. A folding ladder provides access to the second floor. This means that the motorhome can accommodate four people instead of two, like the regular Ekko.
An AWD Ford Transit provides the basis. The living area is well insulated against cold and can be used the year round. Heating and conditioning systems are provided along with clear and used water tanks, a kitchen with all the needed equipment, and a modular shower that you can cobble together from hinged walls, bathe, and remove when not needed.
Power is provided by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 rated at 310 PS 306 hp / 228 kW) in tandem with a ten-speed A/T.
