Ford Expedition Timberline will not get an LWB version, manufacturer says

Ford has facelifted the Expedition SUV this week, giving it an optional Timberline package and leading many to wonder whether it would be available with the stretched Max version as well.

Unfortunately, it will not. Ford just confirmed that the Timberline package will be available exclusively for the standard five-seater. The Expedition Max will have to make do without further off-road-themed upgrades.

In case you missed it, the Timberline options include orange exterior accents, 270 mm (10.55”) of ground clearance, robust 33-inch tires, stainless-steel lower chassis protection, widened track, and improved approach/departure angles.

Power originates from a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 rated at 440 PS (434 hp / 324 kW) and 692 Nm (510 lb-ft) of torque. The pre-facelift version was considerably less powerful at 406 PS (400 hp / 299 kW) and 651 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque.
