Honda teases five dream EVs of the future, vows to produce them all

Honda has announced a new EV range named e:N. It currently consists of five concepts named the GT, Coupe, SUV, NS1, and NP1. The first two should hit production in China next sprint, and the other three should follow within the next five years.

The all-electric crossover SUVs called the e:NS1 and e:NP1 will be the first to reach the assembly lines at Dongfeng Honda and GAC Honda factories in China. Judging by their exteriors and coloring, the e:NS1 will be marketed towards younger audiences, while the e:NP1 will be a family hauler first and foremost. The latter actually looks nearly identical to the Honda SUV e:prototype introduced back in April.

The other e:N vehicles are scheduled for debut until 2026. The range will later expand to 10 models. Honda even intends to build dedicated showrooms to showcase and sell them alongside with its existing dealerships.

No detailed technical information is provided at this moment. One thing is certain: all powertrains will be designed in line the automaker’s latest electrification strategy, which envisions a complete switch to hybrids and BEVs in China by early 2030s and a transition to full-electric cars by 2040.
