Mercedes-Benz CLE Convertible hits Nürburgring

A new soft-topped Mercedes-Benz C-Class prototype has been spotted on the North Loop with plenty of camo wrap on.

Even if you squint long enough to discern the headlights, you will only see what is obviously not a production-ready design. The company itself stated that a cabriolet version of the C-Class would not be coming to the market until at least 2023, so it makes sense for the car spotted to be an early test mule.

While not official, the leading theory is that the newcomer will be called ‘CLE’ and based on the same units and components as the standard Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
