GM ponders the possibility of an all-electric Corvette

A number of Mid Engine Corvette Forum users have reported participating in a survey by General Motors to find out what kind of options and subscription services they might be interested in. Among other things, the company asked whether they would like a fully electric Corvette.

The majority of the respondents opposed this idea, explaining that the Corvette is a sports car icon with a conservative/purist following. Changing the headlight design alone can cause a backlash, let alone replacing the entire drivetrain. That said, some still voted for electrification.

A new hybrid Corvette named the E-Ray is already underway to market, and Chevrolet can be relied upon to produce an all-electric version if it becomes a sales hit.
