The first official photos of the facelifted Skoda Kodiaq for China reveal a car largely identical to the international spec on the outside but different inside.

The dashboard is now inspired by the latest Octavia and comes with a separate dash display. The dual-spoke steering wheel appears to be missing, but we expect it to make a comeback in other trim levels. The Kodiaq GT Coupe released exclusively for China in 2018 (see video for the older version) looks nearly identical on the inside.

The bumpers look similar to those of the European RS version, but not the base trim level. In accordance with the prevailing tastes in the country, the Chinese variant wears chrome décor instead of black and has differently styled wheels.

There is no choice in terms of drivetrain: the 2022 Kodiaq uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a DSG transmission. The FWD variant of it makes 186 PS (183 hp / 137 kW), but paying a premium for AWD raises the output of the same engine to 220 PS (217 hp / 162 kW).
