Polestar expands lineup with three new cars

Sweden-based electric automaker Polestar has shared a teaser image depicting a trio of new cars next to the mass-produced Polestar 2. The large SUV is model number 3, the compact SUV-coupe is number 4, and the sedan is number 5.

The marque expects to be able to launch two of these later this year and expand its market presence to 30 countries worldwide by late 2023.

Back to the cars, though. The Polestar 3 is a flagship SUV with dynamic body outlines, a nearly upright rear window and an impressive spoiler. Its other characteristic traits include pronounced rear wheel arches and aerodynamic winglets at both sides of the bumper.

The Polestar 4 appears smaller, but a cover prevents us from discerning any further details. Unusual taillights spring into view, but that’s it.

And then there is the Polestar 5 with its boxy rear end, pronounced fins and a massive bumper. The c-pillars look identical or similar to those of the model number 3.

The sedan will be the first to debut live at the Goodwood Festival of Speed opening in a week , although only as a prototype. Work is still in progress on the model, which is set to reach production in a few years from now.

The Polestar 3 will debut in November, with the model number 4 set to follow next year.
