Mercedes-AMG has your office racing needs covered with an armchair worth €3.5k
Many Mercedes enthusiasts would love to sit in the driver’s seat of a real AMG ride, but few have the privilege. If you can settle for less, however, the sports division of the Stuttgart brand has just the thing for you – the AMG Office Chair.
The stylish seat has numerous perks, such as a genuine AMG badge on it, a tall back with an integrated headrest, enhanced lateral support, and not being an April Fools joke. It actually looks almost identical to the original car seat, complete with all the mounting points for the three-point safety belts. The trim is also the same with genuine Artico and Dinamica materials used alongside red stitching and sporty pinstripes for maximum authenticity points.
Other than that, it is still a functional office chair like any other – stainless-steel base, chrome wheels, adjustable height and armrests you can turn inward by up to 30 degrees. It weighs in at a hearty 39 kilograms (86 pounds) and costs a heart-stopping €3,500 in Europe. If you feel like ordering a batch of these for your offices, you’re in luck – the company processes orders for up to 100 units at once. And hey – if you find it overpriced for some reason (like we do), maybe you will be swayed by the fact that VAT and shipment costs are already included in the base price.
