New Jeep Grand Wagoneer flaunts retro-style wooden sides

Recognizing the classic Jeep Grand Wagoneer on the road is as simple as pointing out its woodgrain-trimmed sides. The iconic model makes its comeback this year, but without its iconic feature. Those who feel the bulky SUV doesn’t feel right anymore may opt for a rather affordable upgrade by Wagonmaster.

The tuner asks $1,900 for a set of vinyl applications you can install on your next-gen Grand Wagoneer, or its smaller cousin the Wagoneer, to make it look fashionably retro. The proportions and colors seem to be a perfect match with the originals, so telling the classic car from the modern one from a distance might be difficult.

The shipments are already running, and if you cannot apply the mod yourself you can always go to the nearest service station and ask for help. It is unclear at this time whether Wagonmaster plans to release a similar upgrade for the long-wheelbase Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer announced this spring.
