G-Power squeezes 800 PS out of the new Porsche 911 Turbo S

Many Porsche brand fans never cease to wonder how the company manages to improve its already nigh-perfect 911, but every next generation brings something great to the table. Just as inexplicable are the working of G-Power, the aftermarket shop that released a major power boost for the 992-gen Turbo S model.

The tuning included specialized engine control software, an in-house-designed boost air cooler and a full exhaust system complete with high-flow filters and catalysts. Once everything was installed and tuned to perfection, the 911 slammed the dyno with 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) and 950 Nm (701 lb-ft) of torque, an improvement of 150 PS and 150 Nm over the original.

Those who say dyno specs mean nothing may be interested to learn that the car now hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.3 seconds and doubles that acceleration in another 4.95 seconds. The stock coupe manages the same in 2.7 and 8.9 seconds, respectively. To get a taste of what it feels like, just watch the video, you’ll see. Spoiler alert: it’s scary.

Anyone interested in having their 911 (992) Turbo S upgraded by G-Power may avail themselves to a number of other aftermarket options as wells, notably including Hurricane RR- and RS-series forged wheels, carbon body trim and even a complete interior makeover.
