Lamborghini ends Aventador production, this time for real

The Italian supercar maker has put together one final Aventador before the production end. The light blue LP 780-4 Ultimae Roadster will soon reach its buyer in Switzerland.

As you may remember, Lamborghini had already tried saying goodbye to the supercar once. It did not go as planned: in early 2022, 15 Ultimae Series cars were lost to the fire on board Felicity Ace, forcing the company to restart the assembly lines and compensate for the lost units. It has now done so, meaning that the story of the Aventador can finally be considered complete.

Over these 11 long years, Lamborghini managed to move 11,465 Aventadors. The supercar kept evolving throughout its life cycle to stay relevant, spawning a down special editions and several new modifications.

Going forward, Lambo will no longer be using non-electrified V12 powertrains in its cars. The successor to the Aventador line will also come powered by a twelve-cylinder engine, but it will be an all-new, hybridized design.
