Citroën comes out with yet another new badge

When Citroën debuted its original logo in 1919, founder André-Gustave Citroën personally approved of it. The double-chevron emblem then underwent a long series of redesigns, and today, its tenth version has been introduced.

Citroën says it will show us the first concept car bearing the new logo before the end of September, which is to say, very soon indeed. The only thing we know about it at the moment is that it is a family-friendly car.

Production cars will only start using the new logo in mid-2023, however. The company explains that some stylistic brush-ups are necessary first to ensure the new badge looks good on its cars.

Following this arguably superficial change, Citroën plans to overhaul its entire brand identity as well, splashing new shades of blue and red on all of its marketing booklets and digital spaces. We will know what it means when we see it.
