Video: Rolls-Royce looks back at the 20 years of Goodwood factory

Rolls-Royce is celebrating 20 years since commissioning an industrial complex in Goodwood, UK. The luxury automaker has filmed a mini-documentary offering us a retrospective at the assembly site, its inner workings and some interesting facts.

In particular, the film tells us how the company chose this location for the factory. As it turns out, the final decision-making was done by BMW, which has owned the Rolls-Royce brand for more than 25 years now.

There were many reasons to prefer this location over the others. First, Goodwood is an iconic site inherently linked to the automotive culture of England and Europe. Second, the founder of the Rolls-Royce car brand lived and worked not far from the town.
