Electric Audi RS 6 superwagon coming in 2024

Speaking in an interview with Top Gear, Audi Head of Design Marc Lichte said the electrification would eventually come to the RS 6 Avant lineup as well as the A6 the company was already working on. He even mentioned the ETAs: the electric super-estate was scheduled for announcement in late 2023 and market launch in 2024.
Lichte explained why Audi was eager to keep the family car around despite the overwhelming popularity of SUVs and crossovers. Apparently, the RS 6 was considered unique enough in its market niche to enjoy a steady demand.
He also mentioned that the design team drew inspiration from the Audi A6 e-tron Avant Concept (see video) in designing the battery-powered RS 6. That show car had two electric motors rated at 476 PS (469 hp / 350 kW) in total and offered up to 700 km (435 miles) of range. The production car, according to Lichte, is currently being developed with even more performance in mind.
