Porsche Boxster EV spied with a charging port at the rear

The battery-powered Porsche Boxster, which is expected to debut in two years or so, has been photographed at an Ionity charging station in Germany with the cable plugged into its behind.
The most typical location of the port is either at one of the fenders or – less commonly – between the headlights. It is unclear whether the design is final on the Boxster and what advantages it has, if any.
The sales are expected to begin in 2025 and coincide with the launch of the Cayman EV. Neither has been detailed so far, but Porsche promises us performance and speed on par with the latest 911 model.
A test mule wrap prevents us from seeing the exterior, but we expect the proportions and the larger details to stay more or less the same.
Both the Boxster EV and the Cayman EV will ship with a choice between one and two electric motors, making all top specs AWD by default. For the 2WD specs, the motor will be installed at the rear axle. RWD could also be made standard for entry-level versions and track-focused special editions.
