Ford F-250 truck gets turned into a humongous nine-seater SUV

Back in the early 2000s, Ford used to offer a huge SUV named Excursion to everyone interested. It was based on the same chassis as the F-250 pickup. The production ended in 2005, and now, MegaRexx Trucks has finally stepped in to fill the gap.
The enormous project car seen here is based on the largest and the best-equipped F-250 version of them all – the Crew Cab Lariat Ultimate 4x4. The tuner improves upon it by adding aluminum bodywork at the rear end, new tinted windows and enough seating for nine people. The suspension gets a 2.5-inch (63mm) lift, but getting in and out of the SUV is made easier thanks to automatic running boards.
Interestingly enough, the conversion manages to keep all the assist systems on board alive and functional, including blind spot monitoring. For the rear seat occupants to feel comfortable, they get their own dedicated climate control system (Vintage Air Mk4).
Powering the ride is a mighty 6.7-liter diesel V8 rated at 482 PS (475 hp / 355 kW) and 1,424 Nm (1,050 lb-ft) of torque. A ten-speed automatic transmission drives the wheels.
The car pictured here is up for grabs on the MegaRexx website right now with the list price just under $170,000. The tuner can convert your existing F-250 starting from around $40,000, but recommends setting aside at least $60,000 to cover the options, too.
