Smart #3 bows in China as the marque’s biggest small car to date

Car manufacturer Smart has unveiled the coupe-like SUV named the #3. The newcomer uses the same engines as the #1, but is much larger than that model.

At 4.4 meters (171.9 inches) long with 2,785 mm (108.8 inches) of wheelbase, it is the largest car in history to wear the Smart badge. Compared to #1, it also sports a sloped roof design and a more dynamic overall appearance. Those wishing for still more sporty feeling should consider the Brabus version coming with an aggressive body kit and black trim.

For the interior, the company promises us a large infotainment screen, a compact dashboard, and a voice assistant. Higher trim levels unlock a 10-inch HUD, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof and bidirectional charging.

By default, the Smart #3 ships with a single electric motor capable of 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW). The Brabus version adds another motor for a combined 428 PS (422 hp / 315 kW). The sprint times remain to be revealed.
