Fiat unveils a design study inspired by its Turin factory

Carmaker Fiat has come up with a concept vehicle obviously inspired by the company’s industrial complex in Turin, Italy.

The Lingotto factory turns 100 years old this year, so it is not surprising the Italian company decided to pay a tribute to its architectural merits in car design form.

The images released thus far only show bits of the exterior and the cabin, which has nods to the spiraling access ramp and the oval test circuit of the Lingotto complex. In turn, the front fascia pays homage to the panoramic glass front of the main factory building.

Fiat left a hint that the design study previews the marque’s next design direction, but it is probably too early to make any conclusions just yet.
